Upgrade (2018)

Set in a technologically controlled future, Grey, a technophobe, loses his wife and suffers paralysis in an attack early in the film. After a billionaire provides him with a chip that provides him with mobility again, surprise surprise, he seeks vengeance. It's a tale as old as time, and Upgrade is probably one madly violent scene away from being a Luc Besson vehicle, but, it is exactly that; one scene away and not quite that. Upgrade is interesting and enjoyable, and Whannell proves his ability that presumably helped get him the job to helm The Invisible Man (2020). It is, naturally ridiculous at times, but it has enough ambition to get by, and Logan Marshall Green is a pretty reliable screen presence. 6.0/10

I'm Christian and like everyone, I'm a film critic in the sense that I enjoy watching any film at any time, discussing it, and in the last few years putting pen to paper to offer my thoughts.
