If you want to see what a B-movie with an (almost) A-list cast that actually knows what it is and does it rather well, Faster is your film. It's rare that Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson makes a stinker, and this is no different. Johnson is superbly steely as 'Driver', who sets out to avenge his brothers' murder after serving ten years in jail. It's a set up that's the staple of a revenge movie, but Faster delivers fun in spades, is very well shot, and oozes coolness by hiring Clint Mansell to produce the score. Using Billy Bob Thornton to play a grizzled drug addled cop, who tries to juggle stopping The Rock's rampage whilst attempting to repair a marriage, all in the space of 90 minutes is no easy feat, and Faster manages it in droves. 6.8/10

I'm Christian and like everyone, I'm a film critic in the sense that I enjoy watching any film at any time, discussing it, and in the last few years putting pen to paper to offer my thoughts.
